The second rental would end on Wednesday and the third rental would start on Thursday. That should make it 1 credit for the first two rentals (the first and second ends and starts, respectively, on the same day, so 1 credit), and 1 credit for the third rental, which begins on a new day from the second.
Why in the world would you make things so complicated for yourself?
