I called Avis and we are going to exchange the car tomorrow at their Burbank location. The man on the phone was very laid back about it. We're in LA now so hope to go to Avis first thing in the AM to get this sorted and get back on track with our itinerary. No towing, its only the passenger side mirror. Although the guy did get a good chuckle when I asked him if they'd want to tow it back to the office!
