That's my (and I assume most peoples') problem here. If she had half a brain, she could get whatever routing she wanted, at the last minute, in J, for less than 25% of what she paid.
Sure. I m not familiar with the passes. What pass should she have bought, given that her constituency is in NS and this was a one-off trip to AB? Do they sell Canada-wide passes (although the merit of buying one is questionable given her travel is mostly short flights to the east)? And if she buys an Eastern pass (if one exists), would it cover AB?

It was the going rate at the time. We footed the bill. The fact that the price was what it was, reflects the state of the market.

One of the Bens was complaining on another thread that Canada does not have a 'buy Canadian' policy. Perhaps we should thankful for that.
