On a daily basis or when travelling, I use my Hartman bag that matches all my luggage (the black intensity stuff). What I like about it is that the bag itself doesn't weigh that much But I admit, function wins out over form.

When I need to look sharp , I have a great Tumi leather briefcase that has ample space for my Thinkpad and files, etc. I haven't seen one like it in a few years. It's much more sophisticated looking than the latest Tumi offerings with a high grade leather and smooth finish. The strap is thin but sturdy and the bag itself doesn't overpower me.
