The stairway does reduce the cabin height above 2E/F at the front, row 3 would be better if that would bother you.

Checking seat maps for BA5 next week I can see 14 F seats.
I think my actual question is: does 12 seats change the privacy of 3 E/F? What's actually replacing the missing seats? Galley? More storage?
No, 12F is only on the 777-200ER with the following seat map:

Behind 2K there is a space not quite big enough for an F seat, followed by a crew rest area.
Also, there is no 3E/F only 2E/F and 4E/F. 4E/F is more private on a 12F due to no 3K/4K.
