As for India i dont think they read scripts. However i dont think BA has given them adequate training add to that some languge issues things "lost in translation" that i think is where the problems lie.

I have heard that for the same money as one person at MAN or NCL BA can hire four people in DEL!
Contact agents in India, just don't have the access right to natively enter APIS. Nothing to do with how competent they are. Same goes for a lot of agents in Newcastle and Manchester.
