If the inbound AA flight to LAX (eta 820am) is delayed, will CX personnel wait at the gate for them since its quite a walk from T4 to International terminal and have to go thru security? With the kids in tow i doubt my wife can 'run to the gate'. What is the typical allowed window for CX before they close their departure gate i.e. 15min/30min?

Similarly at HKG, the connection is 30min but i presume since both in/outbound are CX flights, they would wait and escort as others have mentioned? If they still miss the flight, will we need to contact AA or CX to put us on the next flight which is 5hrs later at 2030pm?
LAX - You have to ask AA on whether they can be escorted if flight is delayed.

HKG - 30 min is under the MCT. It shouldn't be ticketed. I do not know what will happen. There is a good chance they will be put on the later flight anyway even if on time. I don't think they will hold a flight for too long, especially as MCT is violated.

Hope for the best...
