the advantage of booking an early flight in F is that you can SDC as soon as OLCI for that flight opens (T-24) ... so you have the maximum window of visibility into the next day's flights

a couple weeks ago I found a ~$400 G fare on a sunrise flight (DCA-XXX-LAX) for my upcoming trip; I have every intention of calling at T-24 to grab a seat on a JFK connection at some point the following day
