Since partner awards seem to generally have a roundtrip requirement on the new charts, and many also indicate booking by phone only, but no mention of whether open jaws or stopovers are allowed, I wanted to resurrect this thread to see if anyone had any experience trying to book OJs or stopovers on partner awards through the IB+ service center (or the website as well, though reports seem to indicate not possible online). Also, based on Frequent Miler's 2014 article, partner awards don't get priced segment by segment, instead they are priced by total distance like ANA's old distance based chart.

With the new charts, there are some decent redemptions through IB+, and hopefully may not be surcharges in the Americas. I am looking at an Avianca redemption that would squeeze in under 5000 miles total distance for 28k Avios in economy, but a stopover and/or OJ would be ideal.
