Possibly, but you're putting a lot of confidence in the FDC. Instead, it could turn into a Maintenance call where the OP has to get dressed, welcome a worker into the room, only to have him poke and prod at the clock in trial and error fashion similar to what the OP has already done. After 30 minutes of futzing around, still no nightlight.
No harm in coming here to ask others who deal with this type of stuff on a regular basis.
