No. They were booked as codeshares. So, no advance upgrade, as is well-known, and will be solved in the next couple of months. At T-24, at check-in, I got the option to upgrade. I.e. remaining avalailable First Class seats could be picked for $0 cost. Great. So as a Gold, you were able to select an upgraded seat at T-24 via OLCI, which is the old US method. You were in the same pool as all other elites on a codeshare ticket. Had you held off doing your OLCI, then Golds on "prime" flights should have been able to get upgraded before you. This is where knowing how the system is working, we can find how to get things done. There was a time when you could call into "Otto" and get your upgrade request processed live and not not wait for the sweep (long gone).
