Argue all you like against people who know how the system works, but it won't get you anywhere. And it doesn't matter whether or not you understand the reason for the system being as it is; the airport has its reasons for doing this and that is the only thing that matters.
The bottom line is that you will almost certainly not be let in to the correct part of the terminal let alone into the lounge. A boarding pass for that day, but from a different terminal, is not enough.
