recently i have had to fly into ALB frequently for business which offers no AA operated flight. Because of a mishap at my company's computerized booking system, my middle name is misspelled by one letter. While AA has no issue working around this discrepancy for the connecting flight, US Airways is refusing to put me on the automated upgrade list due to this misspelled middle name meaning I need to call and check on the upgrade status. US agent informed me that this kind of IT issue will not be looked into until the US-AA booking system is completed merged and at this point nobody knows how long that will take. Does anybody have similar problem and is there a trick to resolve this? Thanks.
