Hint: They are not lying

Maybe not lying, but it seems they are playing games with just how many award nights are available per hotel since "Standard Rooms" are rather mysterious. The general public cannot purchase a "Standard Room". It seems they are ONLY for award bookings.

What is abnormal is the fact that standard rooms (Park King) are not available ANY dates for general booking. It is impossible to reserve a Park King room UNLESS you are using points or award nights... at least on Hyatt.com

I would really be surprised if the property is pulling shenanigans to reduce award space opportunities; rather I would expect a very different dynamic than that. My suggestion: contact the hotel directly to see if they will make space available for a point booking when such space isn't showing up as available on hyatt.com.
I am assuming the Chase promotional nights book in the same kind of space as point nights.
Thank you! I will contact the hotel directly and update the group on what they say
