Reading and learning a lot from other posters with knowledge to share, one of my favorite thread is this one
This is a very large thread, a new edition launched every New Year, but still massive (se below) and by far the largest thread on BAFT, despite not yet 6 months old

Inspired by a poster suggesting some difficulties in finding TP run deals in the massive thread, I took the liberty of starting a new thread, so this can be discussed without diluting the TP run thread yet more.

Posting late last year in the TP run thread about splitting it up, a previous post I wrote was to split it in "TP run deals" and "TP run discussions". The few commenting on this were actually positive. The 2015 TP run has of now attracted 2935 posts, equal to some 18 posts/day. At the start of a new sale there are 100+ posts per day. Who can keep track? Where are the interesting minor deal posts which are buried among the big sale attractions?

Early this year there was a break-out of a specific deal/sale who were directed to a dedicated thread, so my suggestion is continuing on that line, but making TP run a master thread in the BA forum, as before, but with sub-foras lined out below.

I am personally not so happy, when looking for aspects of a TP run deal , to have to wade through posts on wanting to know/recommend/discourage an excursion service on one of the destinations, or discussing the qualities of prime beef in restaurants in said or other destination or bringing topics up not really have anything to to with the TPrun as such. Although all posts are in some distant way related to the TP run, a thread with a specific sale, and aspects how to make most of it, makes it easier to find. Just as if you actually want excursion hints on a BA destination, and can't find it in one of many Destination foras, it could merit a post in a sub-thread dedicated to just that.

I also share the frustration when ppl ask about rules for a sale posted 3-4 posts ago, and with a mostly polite remark yet another reference to what's been posted is made. Could be solved by also splitting the massive wiki in different destinations? .

The same process has improved the MR run thread now with sub fora for Mileage Run Discussion and Premium Fare Deals

My suggestion is:

MAIN OBJECT: The TP run thread is split/given sub-fora/threads, much like the MR forum with the sub-fora beeing:
a. TP run deals, where only deals/sales are posted, thread title beeing sale code or origin/destination. Variations on a theme naturally permitted
b. TP run discussion, where expired deals are discussed, implications on changes etc are posted
c. TP run destination discussion, where all questions/answers on airport/town transport, hotel questions/recommendations, excursion companies/offerings, restaurant tips etc

Or do you have another concept to improve the TP run thread?
Let us all hear about it. Something needs to be done, IMHO.
