Question re Aer Lingus:
BOS-DUB is 12,500 Avios
NYC-DUB is 20,000 Avios. Big difference.
NYC-BOS is 4,500 Avios, so it would actually be cheaper to do NYC-BOS-DUB (12,500 + 4,500 Avios = 17,000) Avios than NYC-DUB. However, it is American Airlines that flies NYC-BOS and Aer Lingus that flies BOS-DUB. AA and Aer Lingus are not partners. Can they be booked on the same ticket if they are not partners?
Also, is it possible to do Avios+Money for NYC-BOS-DUB? (I'm never understood why it sometimes lets you do Avios+Money and sometimes not. I know you can't for wholly domestic flights in the U.S.)
