I've used Super Shuttle--until they failed to show up and I nearly missed my flight. Yes, taxis are a risk, but we have to do something! I live too far from DFW airport to make a habit of imposing on friends.

Fort Worth has a public transportation option called 'Airporter'. Works well, but doesn't run every day. I use hotel shuttles whenever I can. In cities with subways--and I know my way--I'll use them during the day.

I love the celphone idea although I think I'll also call my own voice mail and leave the name of the driver and whatever other info I can get my hands on. Many thanks for the hint! Extremely valuable!!!
