Also, one more tip for dealing with voltage converters - if your hairdryer, etc. doesn't have a built-in converter, remember not to use the HIGH setting on the appliance. On a hairdryer, the low setting becomes the high setting and the high setting shouldn't be used. (If you have a built in adapter switch, when you turn the switch it should automatically prevent the HIGH setting from being used.)
