I have a Kensington laptop backpack. Its padded and fits your laptop- has some other zip up pockets- you see lots of them in corporate america so it works for business mtgs- but its also rugged enough to use outdoors. I can actually do an overnighter with just this bag - room enough for laptop , accessories, makeup, etc plus one days clothes

I have seen them in Staples and Office Depot for around 75USD.
