Thanks everyone for great info and input! I switched seat to 1A on the 767 and will keep 6A on the A330. On the ATL-SCL it says 767 but the seat map looks different showing a lavatory right in front of the bulk head seats and wondering if 1A might be a less good option on that flight? Seem to recall some other complaints about the bulk head seats on a flight to SCL.
If the Lav is directly in front of 1A/1D then you're on a 763. There is still a closet between the seat and the lav, so you're pretty well isolated from noise/light from the lav. Also, 1A/1D on the 763 are set farther back from the galley than on the 764, so not as much of an issue with galley light/noise (1A will be slightly quieter than 1D).
