The BA/JL IT connection is quite poor. Usually BA fails so much as a though-check-in from BA->JL.
If you want a seat selection you will have to telephone BA with your BA PNR and ask them to do it. If you wish one of us here can provide you with the present seat map, supposing you cannot even see it.
If you are normally entitled to advance seat selection under your corporate arrangement, that might not apply for a codeshares, so you will have to check.

You have a confirmed seat or are you waitlisted?
I believe it's confirmed, but no seat is actually listed. I just get 'Seat choices are available at check-in' in the booking. So I assume I'm just going to get plonked into E/F when check-in opens.
