I applied and was approved for the ciit prestige card. I then had the PP expedited. Yesterday I opened a citigold account. I received my PP card today and was able to sign in to the website with it. I have travel scheduled in a week and a half. Is my PP going to get cancelled at this point since I opened up a citigold account? If so, when would that occur and what is the best course of action?

I can call the prestige line and have them expedite a new card, but since the old one is not cancelled yet I am not sure that the new card will be cancelled as well. Some of the people who mentioned having their PP card cancelled after signing up for citigold didn't have their PP card at the time and it arrived cancelled (in my situation I have the card and was able to log in so I am not sure if that will make a difference in preventing the account from being cancelled). Also, if it matters I opened the citigold account in a branch not online. Just looking for the best course of action at this point since time is limited.
