Ah, yes. Actually I can normally book seats at any point for work trips, presumably something to do with the way it's booked by my employer. Thing is, I don't even get any of the usual options I'd expect as a non-corporate customer (i.e. the option to pay for seat selection). In this case 'soon' is about a month out.
But I'm unfamiliar with codeshare flights so I'm not sure what's normal or not.
That said, I'm a bit confused as you said you were *probably* on the flight?
It's the current best option, if there's a better (i.e. from my employer's perspective, cheaper) option it could be changed. Or I could cancel.
