I don't buy the argument that this has been designed out in order to maximize seating space. Newer planes designed to squeeze the maximum number of passengers in all seem to have at least one changing table. There was plenty of space in the MD-90 lav for the fold down table, it just wasn't there. The infant bassinets which mount to bulkheads are a different thing entirely and were never intended for changing.
The point I'm making is that some sort of baby changing facilities are a necessity in the same way that lavs for adults are a necessity. I'm not saying every lav needs one, just one per plane.
Of course I'll also complain to DL management, but what's the point of a public forum if you can't complain there also?
