Anyone have recent experience with this? I'm arriving SIN with QR from DOH at 19.50, and my Air Asia flight departs at 21.20 to KUL. I'm wondering if I can just get my documents 'verified' at the boarding gate, or do I really need to clear immigration to reach the 'verification desk' ? I'm citizen of Finland, so I don't need a visa to Malaysia.

I tried to ask Air Asia about this, but the lady was very unknowledgeable about this.
Not sure in the last 5 weeks if it's changed - but as of 5 weeks ago , still had to clear ciq and go landside with AK. I hear maybe 3K allows a form of airside transfer in SIN? Could be worth investigating.
