This happened on my last BA flight (which has the same power ports with red and green indicators). I complained about the power ports no longer being on to no effect. Then they had to reset the flight entertainment system because it was malfunctioning, and the power ports started working again.
Sounds like a solution (but if it is only the power ports not working rather than the IFE, a reset would not be popular).
