I agree that compensation is due. I would have gone the next day looking forward to an F seat and have one more day in SA.

Staying in SA was not an option. A Nationwide flight was late, delayed more than an hour. This is not my father's fault but at least he barely made the connection. The flights were cross-referenced in the PNRs and that is why Swiss at JNB knew he would come and still make it. He is fine and home now. It was nice to let him check in 35 min prior to departure. He had no luggage fortunately.
