Any activity on your account prior to June 12 will defer the expiration date of all or your miles for another 18 months. Activity includes flying on AA, US, or partners prior to June 12, redeeming miles prior to June 12, or (most easily) some activity via shopping or dining via a partner: https://www.aa.com/i18n/AAdvantage/e...ining/main.jsp
