I'm a little more sympathetic. I've once had to book me and parents on city tour (Seoul) and still ended up being taken around to the jewellery shops despite going for premium.
Of course I can avoid being taken to these jewellery shops if I organised a charter tour and kept total control over the itinerary but that's more planning work than I enjoy taking on.
