-line 10 only runs from the airport every 10-12 minutes
-getting to the subway station is more annoying than getting to the taxi queue

Agree that it's better just to take line 10 straight away. On the other hand, anyone arriving in Shanghai from overseas or able to use SHA T1 on domestic flights should book arrivals there without hesitation.
Just did a hectic Shanghai/Suzhou extended weekend work trip via PVG and hated every minute of the commute from the gate to the city and back.
