~30k in spending over 2 years, paid in full every month. Called after my fee posted in the last 20 days, mentioned I liked the card but got 2x points on most purchases with another card, wanted to keep it open but was having trouble justifying the fee. Offered $50 or 7k points without any conditions, took the points. 2 minute call. Didn't even know this was a possibility until now, signed up to share and say thanks - not many opportunities in life to get paid a $2100/hour rate!
