I did something similar, but could not wait until the day, when my husband was 65, I gave him on the day a card, and in the card was an envelope with CW flights out to JFK and returning 4 days later on the 001 date for the trip was end of May, he was absolutely overwhelmed, and when we got to the lounge at T4 our CW tickets were torn up and we were upgraded to F. He absolutely loved the F experience, hotel, and then flight back on the rocket. I had done a day trip a few years back, so had had my experience of the iconic bird. If a secret can be kept until arriving at the airport then great for the person having the surprise, but I would never be able to keep quiet that long, 26th June seems an awful long way off.
