Not quite as glamorous but I took my mother and father on their first first: a US domestic to MIA. They got worried when the flight attendant starting speaking to them. They thought they had done something wrong but were actually being offered a PDB.
My mum still goes on about them having table cloths and proper cups
Reminds of me of my first time in Business, when MrsNWI and I were upgraded as FB Golds on a NW flight to SEA.
I really had no idea what to expect in terms of meal serving, so when the starter arrived ahead of the main course I just assumed that all I was getting was the contents of the tray, a la Y - and hence I queried why what appeared in front of me didn't seem to be what I'd ordered ...
The FA was very nice about it, and I kept my head down for the rest of the flight!
