Would appreciate your help as Im deciding whether I stick with MPC or shift to QR and ditch EY altogether as I have a few europe trips lined up for this year and fares are more attractive in QR/EY than CX
The airline you fly and the airline ffp you credit those flights to does not need to be same. That is what ffp partner's are all about. But check earnings
EY, QR and CX are both partners of AA (EY is a non alliance partners)
Upgrades tend to be only on the airline you fly with that airlines miles (but there are expensive exceptions)
