A380 could go in the direction of Concorde if Airbus fails to find new customer. When airbus stop supporting A380, maintenance alone would skyrocket for any airline. Every airlines knows this and will likely stay away unless you are an airline who fly jumbo jet on significant number of daily flights. Delta doesn't have that not to mention DL already have spare 744s.
