Branded plates and glassware in the Clubhouses
This is probably the pettiest thing I’ve ever written about, but lately I’ve noticed that the plates and glassware in the Clubhouse is inconsistently branded. In other words, plates that always used to be subtlety branded with “VA The Clubhouse” indicia are now sometimes just plain boring white plates. Likewise, glassware that had “VA The Clubhouse” vertically etched into the side of it is sometimes just standard ordinary glassware. It seems like, as branded plates/glasses get broken or unusable, they get replaced with unbranded ones.
This stuff doesn’t really matter in the broad scheme of things, but I always loved it because it signified the attention to detail that VS has/had that other carriers don’t.
This is particularly true at the IAD and SFO locations, but i’ve seen it at EWR and JFK to a lesser degree.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is this a result of the DL merger, imposing American carelessness into the brand? Or is it just a general cost cutting thing?
