Let's try to answer the question that was asked, rather than scold BigFlyer. The terms helpfully posted by trouble747 state that in the event of a fraudulent claim (as defined) all benefits will be forfeited, but there is no indication that the card account will be examined or closed.

Does anyone have any experience which suggests that American Express treats recurring claims as suspicious, or that American Express acts more aggressively than mentioned in their terms?

Take a deep breath. You are the only member who has posted more than twice in this thread.
