I don't know what "most" would read into what I said - but that is not what I said or meant.

Moreover, my "moral compass" would not allow me to accuse someone of fraud based upon reading something into an online statement that is not in there.

Also - even if someone bought with the intention of returning, and knew that Amex didn't always ask for the product back, that is not fraud. Fraud requires misrepresentation of some sort.
