Thanks. Here is what confuses me.
The value fare rules say, "Value Fare tickets are fully refundable if canceled more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure from the origin but will incur a 10% refund fee if canceled less than 24 hours prior to scheduled departure. Value Fare tickets can be canceled with the ticket value stored as a credit in an eVoucher that can be used for future Amtrak travel."
In contrast, the flexible fare rules state, "Flexible Fare tickets can be canceled for a full refund of the ticket value or with the ticket value stored as a credit in an eVoucher that can be used for future Amtrak travel."
I understand the concept of refundable, but the only mention of form of refund for the value fares is an eVoucher, which differs from the form of refund for a flexible fare which states "full refund . . . OR . . . eVoucher."
Either their T&Cs are just horribly written or there is a difference.
