OP didn't give a travel date but I suspect it's probably soon ... looking at tomorrow, dl.com indeed shows IAH-SLC-SEA-NRT available with the 37-min connection, but it leaves at 0805 which seems to violate OP's comment about wanting to leave after the 0910 IAH-DTW

that said, dl.com also offers IAH-SLC-PDX-NRT (the same 0805 departure) with 1+17 in PDX (and a longer SLC layover as well)
