So I'm 21 and looking forward to my first Club World travelling experience on BA011 in July. It'll be my first trip abroad in several years owing to illness, and I've got several questions.

It's a night flight that takes off at 2000h GMT and lands at 1600h Singapore local time. When and what meals will be served on the flight?

Secondly, I find the seating configuration odd and have heard that apparently the best seats are in the 747's upper deck (I'm flying 747 outbound, A380 inbound). Is this true? And does anybody have any recommendations (either for good seats, or seats to avoid!).

Finally, I'm travelling with about 40kg medical supplies for the hold. I have been told that I can get this excess baggage free of charge, which I'm glad about as other airlines weren't so accommodating. I've recently had a long spell of illness and am still severely underweight - will I be able to get airport assistance? I'll be travelling alone and not sure I can manage to take all my baggage when I arrive in Singapore.
