Surely it's not just me that views exit rows as bad seats and actively avoids them?

As a not particularly tall (though not short), but fairly broad man, I hate exit row seats... every time I've ever sat in one, I've been sat next to other blokes on the 'fairly broad' to 'big' spectrum, all attracted by the idea of more room! Result? Less space than anywhere else in the plane!
