In my experience, getting a SIM card overseas is always a hassle that ends up taking up more time than I'd like. What's the easiest way to do this in Rio? Presumably there are shops at GIG airport that will sell you prepaid SIM cards; are they trustworthy?
I'm particularly interested in the
TIM Visitor plan as it seems cost-effective, but there are reports of TIM stores not being willing or able to provide this plan. Anyone have any recent experience with this or a similar plan?
