We experienced the same capsule charge at the Bangkok Millennium Hilton a couple of years back. It was only after I noticed the charges on my bill that I checked and found an obscure and nearly indecipherable sign near the coffee machine announcing that. I did complain and hope they rectified it.

We've stayed in quite a number of nice hotels with the coffee capsule machines in Europe, Asia, and Australia, and that was the only time there was a charge. I realize now there are others.
