A bit of enlightenment please. As I don't fly UA much at all anymore, why would someone not be "entitled" to an E+ seat anymore? What changed? It seems United delights in downgrading people as much as possible. Why would they do this to a family traveling together?
It used to be that when a UA elite member used his/her miles to book award flights for others, they would inherit some of the elite benefits (like free E+ seating). That policy has been replaced by a policy stating that the access to free E+ seating is determined by the traveler's status, not the person whose miles were used.
