The exit line for customs was also confusing. There's a path marked for global entry, but then on that path there's a sign that tries to split the queue into 2. One was marked for US Citizens & crew/diplomats (empty), and the other was for Global Entry (many waiting). Either there's lots of non-citizens with Global Entry, or people only read the first half of the sign. I went for the short line and was processed without complaint after he handled 2 people from the longer line.
I believe they send US citizens with the orange Express Connect tags to that pair of lines (which was off to the left last time I flew through DFW, in November). The Express Connect passengers should go in the US citizens/crew/diplomat line, while Global Entry passengers in the Global Entry line.
