Long time reader, first time poster .

I'm an Air Canada 75K Elite, booking an Aeroplan trip for two, from Toronto (YYZ) to Tokyo (NAR/HND) later this year (September).

It's a long flight, and I'm likely to be stuck in economy (boo). My options are 788 or 777-300 flights with comparable timings otherwise.

I cannot tell if the 777-300 is the 31" or 32" pitch; I'm about 189cm tall (~6'2" or so), my lovely lady is also tallish, and we want to arrive in Japan having 1. Not grown to despise each other, fellow human beings, and world in general, and 2. Hopefully without our spirits fully crushed.

Any tips from seasoned travellers, MUCH appreciated! I've read through some of the threads on the 787 and 777-300 seating, but I have not found anything conclusive for the late 2015 configurations.
