I just logged in and noticed Chase did charge the $95 membership fee on June 1.
To clarify, do you mean you know for sure that I can still cancel the card within 60 days of the 1 year anniversary and still have the annual fee deducted?
I'm sure that I will not keep the card. I just need a little bit more time to transfer points to partners (likely United). But I want to be sure that Chase will remove the fee. If it were "too late" to have the annual fee (charged on June 1) removed then I guess I'll just keep the card. My preference though is to cancel the card, as long as I can have the annual fee of $95 that posted on June 1 removed.

Didn't someone already tell you that you have up to 60 days to get AF refunded if you cancel the card within 60 days the fee is billed?
Note - you still have to pay the AF on
due date if you still keep the card at that time. However if you subsequently cancel the card within 60 days the annual fee is billed, that means, 60 days from June 1st - Chase will refund the annual fee and you will see a credit on your canceled card. At that time you can ask for a refund check.
The only time you dont need to pay the AF is you cancel the card BEFORE the due date - better gives at least 2 to 3 days ahead of that because Ink cards dont post activities on time. You dont want to incur a Past Due situation.
Why dont you just SM Chase and get an assurance on how long the AF would be refunded?
