Regarding your problem, I thought that IB upgrades don't earn extra Avios/TPs. I think they just give at the rate of the original revenue booking, but I'm not sure. Seems unfair if it was actually on BA metal, so good luck with your claim.

I have already spoken with 2 separate Newcastle agents and both confirmed that this AUP will earn additional TPs and Avios, but until they are in my account I will remain cautious about doing these 3rd party AUPs ;-)
