I thought that I was pretty travel savvy but I got caught out with this Eglinton ,Totonto hotel .I should have checked more but i assumed, being an "airport" hotel, it offered an airport shuttle service but not so .According to its website,it is 3 km form the airport - but the taxi each way averaged Can$17. Continental Breakfast included it said and I really did not expect much - but to see the layout ,i realized I would be leaving hungry- three choices of cereal out of giant packets ,full cream milk only ,the only fruit were bananas and the pastry and roll selection was mini croissants with no butter or any preserves of any kind.
The top it off , there was a communication problem with the staff .I found it difficult to understand them and vv.The door to the breakfast area was unsigned at the end of a long corridor and the night staff member seemed to assume that I still had my XRay vision and could see through it.
Oh well,we need these little reminders every now and then to keep us careful and organized.
